Twitter adds trends to 100 more cities.

Twitter has launched Trends in 100 cities around the globe, including 12 in the UK. This allows users to see what’s happening on a more local scale.

A Spokesperson from Twitter said: “By viewing Trends in these cities, it’s easier than ever before to find out what’s going on in your area and to get involved in the conversations. Regional Trends give you a great flavour of what’s happening in different parts of the UK.”

The 12 cities that were added in the UK were: Belfast, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Portsmouth and Sheffield.

London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester were already available.

Users can access the new locations by clicking ‘Change’ from within the Trends sidebar of Twitter.
